Dream Theater When Dream & Day Reunite

For Il Teatro dei Sogni: This is a live performance made for the 15th anniversary of WDADU, featuring two former members, recorded and released during the ToT tour; they didn’t go into the studio to record, so what drives your criticism? Metallica did the same this year for Master of Puppets, as various other bands have done before them.
For Nota Di Demerito: I don’t want a debate to start, but setting aside the quality of the above, I don’t see what accusations can be made against DT. This is not an album, but an official bootleg (I suppose you know the difference), among which there are some really remarkable releases, both live and demo CDs. I reiterate the point that anyone who greatly appreciates a band would be happy with an initiative like this. You’re free to not appreciate it, but criticizing this initiative seems a bit excessive to me... :)

I fully agree on everything. For me, LaBrie has always sounded terrible in the official live recordings, except for Live at Marquee and Score. Anyway, there’s little to complain about the fact that they produce so many official bootlegs. I believe that anyone who appreciates a band would want something similar; it seems obvious to me, and they do it in a fun way. If someone wants to buy them, they can do so from the appropriate website (or from emule HAHAHAHA), so they don’t clutter the shelves XD.

I agree with YYZ (Are you a Rush fan too? ;P), the orchestra isn't prominent enough... but just imagine if Portnoy highlighted it! XD

Good review.
To the anonymous one (Little ignorant child...) The Rush are simply one of the most important bands that have contributed so much to current music. I haven’t delved into this album, nor into the whole Synth period. I’ll make up for it.

Why compare Hilary Duff to New Order? DO YOU THINK THERE CAN BE A PERSON WHO LISTENS TO BOTH THINGS????? Alright XD. The review is well done, whereas I’ve never listened to the CD. In veritas, I’ve never listened to anything by New Order, even though I really like Joy Division. I’ll make sure to check it out.

AssoAnonimo, let me respond with a sincere "NO WAY". 90% of anonymous comments are stupid and filled with unjustified insults. If someone intends to comment on more reviews, then they should register, especially since I’ve read too many like: "What crap" and similar. What's the point of anonymity here if not to hide, given that no personal data is requested? In any case, great review, even though I don’t even know who that guy is, as a true Neapolitan I can't ignore these words! ;)

Note of demerit, what does it mean for you to engage in dialogue? Here we've responded based on our ideas (both about the group and the music). You come out and say that we don't know the bands, that we speak from a closed party, when I've told you repeatedly that they're not historically important, but I like them for various reasons. Dialoguing does not mean that if someone disagrees with you, they are wrong! Then, quotes like this: "I'm talking about what art is (relatively, of course) and what it isn't, got it? It's not a matter of taste..." denote for me your TOTAL ignorance and incompetence on the topic! Do you want to have a serious discussion? What is art? I would say (Quote.Wikipedia) "Art, in its broadest sense, encompasses every human activity - carried out individually or collectively - that, resting on technical knowledge and behavioral norms derived from study and experience, leads to creative forms of aesthetic expression." Hence, anything dictated by a person's inspiration is Art! I could defecate on a sidewalk and say it's art, and even though you might find it disgusting, it could be appreciated by others because it aligns more with their tastes and feelings! If for you the DT are crap, so be it, but you will never convince me otherwise, because, for my perception, they are a fantastic group that continues to produce great music year after year, despite some flaws now and then (the live at budokan really isn't good). When you say to me: "But do you really know "Biglietto per l'inferno" and the albums of Voivod?", I find it such a childish thing that it makes me lose the desire to respond to you (That's why I'm only replying now; I try to avoid useless discussions, but if it gets excessive, I become really intolerant). The one playing the victim is you, the latest arrival who gets attacked because in a review you complain about a group, expecting others to agree with you. The responses have been given to you in a civil manner, and if I reach the point of using such a harsh tone, it's probably because you are genuinely starting to tire me, pressing on insignificant points while overlooking really important things. If you want to talk, feel free to do so, but you must be aware that here you won't change anyone's mind, and that "dialoguing" is not synonymous with "being right," especially in art, where everything is completely subjective. I believe I've been clear.

Well, "all smoke," so what? Go listen to your "good" music. This whole form/content discourse and BLA BLA BLA has already been tackled over the years in the review of Easycure, so don't even think about discussing it with the latest arrival convinced he can teach. Go listen to Tortoise and stop bothering us.
