...or I’ll have Moggi call me, so I know what I HAVE to do ;-) :D

Easy, I'm back here for the Wire. I still find their early albums a bit challenging. However, I'm really enjoying the samples from the compilation "the A list 85-90" (the years of Mute Records). What do you think, a good introduction? If you feel like it, any explanations or recommendations would be welcome... :-)

you could have done it better, this is too easy

... a bit like what Depeche Mode did with German electronics... they made it pop, in my humble opinion. I mean, ALAN WILDER (and I hope he comes back, at this point) legitimized it with GORE's melancholic melodies.

If before, from the Amazon samples, the color was BLACK, now, upon listening to the full album, I would give the record a more... liquid background... well, maybe I'll explain this in the review, honestly I'll try. I hope I don't write too much nonsense.

"Rubicon" is blowing up my subwoofer. :-))) Anyway, I'm waiting for the original record I ordered, since right now the preview I made from the mp3s seems to have been mixed with my music maker!!! :D I don't really like just the 2 pieces "a southern sky" and "victory," which with KJ I find have little to do. The rest is very nice, though I was expecting a more "explosive" drum in some parts and Walker's guitar more in the foreground.

kosmo, since you know the KJ inside out, can you give me your opinion on "brighter than 1000 suns"? I'm listening to it right now. What can I say, tracks like "adrations," "rubicon," "wintergarden" are absolutely stunning. But I'm curious to know how the hardcore or long-time fans (no offense, eh! :-)) took this album... um, melodic. Maybe I'll even write a review, my first one, who knows... enlighten me, if you want!

3.5 x the review. Aside from some names and controversies, it’s not bad. Anyway, yes, and you can find it in the review of Qzerty, this album has a hidden key to understanding. Concept about war? ah... it seems I read that in "full metal jacket" by Kubrick there are the slowed down chords of Strangelove... I will check. The album has reached the ...masses.
