Fred1, regarding the fact that DMs can't play, I won't comment; I don't know if you were being ironic again or not, but the most technically gifted one was Wilder, that's for sure.

Zion, now that I discover your age I feel terribly old and out of place on debaser. This record was on loop for a few days at my cousin’s place in Como, and I remember that day well, after Christmas '96, pizzeria on the Navigli and Piazza San Babila. He made me hate that record, but back then I didn’t understand a damn thing about music and could barely distinguish between Beatles LPs and posthumous single compilations... anyway, really good times.

Look, when I found out she had 18 years of experience, I was shocked; I thought she was much younger. Anyway, you’ve filled a gap on Debaser, given that good old Antonio Luca or whoever the hell he is can't be defined as a reviewer. She must have made some nice songs here and there, even though I’ve never listened to them. Certainly, she’s much better than Britney.

Ah, clearly I have the three classic TfF albums (superb) plus two cassettes of their '90s attempts (elemental, raoul, etc.) that don't measure up to the previous ones. My God, some things are salvageable, but the others...

Thank you, odradek. No, I don’t actually own "power corruption and lies," I really love the artwork, but the samples I listened to a while back on Amazon didn’t impress me as much as those from "lowlife." A full listen would definitely be MOOOOOOOOOLTO more indicative. I discovered John Foxx thanks to Ege's reviews. Bye :)

Perhaps it’s better if you only read the last three lines, which are understandable.

ZiOn, I'm about to cry (what have I missed!). Soon I'll be getting:
john foxx-the garden
new order-movement, lowlife (but what a record is this?????????!!!!!)
peter gabriel-so
simple minds-sparkle in the rain, black and white (yes, I'm buying it)
depeche mode-playing the angel (but when is it coming out... by the way, if you manage to listen to "a pain that I'm used to," let me know what you think.
I'm working on the reviews of pet shop boys and ferry '87 and I'm wondering if there were other lesser-known bands from those years outside of the "triptych of electronic wonders" that were equally good at composing similar technopop. If anyone can clear this up for me, I would be very happy to hear it.
