Premising that it really gets on my nerves to see people insulting each other, especially in a review of Depeche Mode, I want to say that regarding the Olivetti story, Maurizio (or Mauro!) has captured what happened. Let's put aside the issue of the factory in Russia, which they still owe us money for. And about Carlo DeBenedetti at war with Berlusconi or whoever, I won't comment. It's worth noting that he was a pirate but far from stupid: if Olivetti survives thanks to phones, it’s due to him, as he had the foresight during that moment (market development, early 90s).
