I have to say that the first listen wasn't easy. And I regret the absence of "free," and I hope that "Lillian" comes out as a single with that synth reverb at the end. I disagree on "damaged people": it splits me in two, just like the ending of "macro." This is the second serious review of the album. But can the editors not delete the two useless reviews?

mmmh... I'm not so sure that the "devotional" is rough. I think it's cleaner than this, in the sense that the headphones don’t crackle. bye :)

AS I TOLD YOU (fresh at 9:45 PM): "The definition of the production details of the show and the related layouts has allowed for the sale of an additional number of tickets for the highly anticipated Italian concerts of the Depeche Mode, scheduled for February 18 and 19 at the Forum of Assago (MI).
There are only a few hundred tickets available for both shows, which will go on sale starting Wednesday, October 26, 2005, through the Ticket One circuit www.ticketone.it and at the following authorized Milanese presales: Mariposa Duomo, Sipario, and Messaggerie Musicali."

(...fucking server...) has any of you listened to the SACD dolby 5.1 version? Unfortunately, I don't have the right setup, but I've heard it's a whole different experience. I'm fascinated by albums packed with details.

So... I don't really believe they are sold out for February 19. I'm always keeping an eye on the news from 013; maybe some tickets will pop up two or three weeks before the concert. Luckily, I don't have this problem, but if I can help someone out, that would be great; the more, the merrier. Forget those damn scalpers: 150 euros for one ticket is just WAY TOO MUCH.

I would mostly agree on everything, but "nothing's impossible" really doesn’t match their style; great music, but the lyrics aren’t much. "I want it all" doesn’t fit with the sounds of the album (nor does "precious"), but I find it very fitting in the final part. If you’d like, I can share my impressions again (20/10 review -??!!- by ma3x). Maybe you could have said a bit more about the sound; anyway, this is so far the only serious review of "playing the angel."

Zion, if you say so since you definitely know them much better than I do, then I'll start with those two… :)

Great land of musicians, Essex. Among others, there are also Depeche Mode. I was thinking of buying "the fat of the land," but since there’s this best of floating around, it’s better to approach it this way.
