Ah, and since we talked about U2, in that album, "all that..." the only truly timeless song is "when I look at the world". Unfortunately, the other singles are nice too, but I’ve never felt the urge to listen to them again after days, months, or years like I do with that track. It would really shine in "achtung baby".

It's true, we sang it together on the elementary school bus. I also enjoyed the (I think) subsequent album, NordSudOvestEst; maybe it's because I have fond memories associated with these two records, but I really can't bring myself to label them as garbage. In my opinion, some tracks are musically valid ("Cumuli" and "Week-end" in NSOE).

Fosca, do you also have all the single LPs by Simple Minds? Is there anything you could recommend to me? Today I found the 1990 CD!!!!! "Someone Somewhere" in its single version (which just has ten different initial seconds). It also includes a strange version of "King Is White and In The Crowd" (I prefer the one from the LP) and "Soundtrack for Every Heaven."

I confirm the 3.5 but maybe a 4 could work too. Great album, now that it's mine I'm giving it the attention it deserves. Regarding the discussion about the split that happened with "once upon a time," in my opinion, it was reconciled with the subsequent and underrated (BUT WHY? WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT?????) "street fighting years." Those Simple Minds are practically the same as in "new gold dream," just a bit more acoustic. An album that doesn't age easily.

I actually like it this way, more electropop. Honestly, I was thinking of reviewing the next one, which has more varied and (in my opinion) refined arrangements. Beautiful "don't stop the dance" and "stone woman." 3.5.

perfectly fitting title, guys: I really can't stand it. (...) And neither can the others.

Boris, allow me an observation: "John the PERElator" was written by Gore or that guy from Los Angeles who sold speedballs to Gahan? :))))
