Depeche Mode The Singles 86>98

In fact, that's why I got the CD version as a gift. "A Question of Time," "Strangelove," and the single version of "Useless" are just amazing. I only regret the monstrous cut of the electronic outro of "Personal Jesus."

It’s the lowest and most consistent average I’ve ever seen up here. Honestly, I don’t feel like ruining it.

Mr. N., we appreciate your dedication, but was it really necessary to mess up our inbox? :)

Everything happened in a good way, of course. :)))) For the real crap, there's the dive a block away, ugly in name, in reputation, and even in the people.

forgive me, "hats" and "warp". I got a little tangled up in the emphasis of the response. And I was still thinking about the place I usually go to, how "all stood still" would sound great there, and the night from five months ago that it brings to mind. I'll just tell you this: we closed the place at 4 AM and it hadn't felt that festive in months. Everything happened. If I think about it even today, I roll over laughing. Oh, and how did that famous '80s disco night go for which you opened a thread on the de-forum?

As for the pseudo-alternative venues, I totally agree about the tacky lights and the girls swaying to the rhythm of Ricky Martin, etc. I wish I could be one of those walls in the club where you play, even just out of curiosity. I got into music a bit late, starting with the Beatles' compilations from '93-'94 and my sister's '80s tracks, moving on to the more pop side of Queen. Then, in January '99, I came across "Depeche Mode the singles 86>98" and everything changed quite a bit since then. Definitely for the better. I mean, I now have a broader perspective on the musical landscape. And now, I’m going to read "harp" (if there is one) and "warm," then maybe I'll take a look on Amazon. I have some bonuses to use on my CD purchase card; consider that I'm keeping one for "reel to real" by Simple Minds, and the other will be a surprise from the shopkeeper (I specifically asked him for this, knowing that he knows what I listen to). Maybe I could, umm, ...direct him!

oops! The last two contributions weren't in yet. So, for the mixing, I can only stay quiet and learn. However, I want to emphasize that "lament" sounds good, at least TO ME. I have the Chrysalis copy, with the menhirs in the photo against a black background, a sparse booklet, without lyrics (which I regret a bit), and two plus one remix placed at the end of what would probably have been sides 1 and 2 on the LP. Black back cover, with dark gray text.

Thank you. In fact, I was surprised (but not too much!) to find 5.1 speakers for 40 euros next to systems with three-digit prices. So, I preferred to wait and clarify my thoughts on it. As for the quality of the SACD of "Playing the Angel," I don't know; I hope it is what other owners tell me. In the meantime, I continue to listen to all my records on the Pioneer, which is decent; I just need to move the amplifier from the metal rack because certain bass frequencies take on strange, excessively booming sounds. My goodness, sometimes it's even fun. But, you know how it is: I like to uncover the details during listens. Finally, speaking of "Vienna," I could also raise my rating by half a point (and indeed it would need a more sensitive evaluation metric). I reserve the right to vote again in the coming weeks. I have a feeling it's an album that "holds up" over time.
