New Order Low Life

If I may, I'll tell you that you should definitely buy both of them right away. Oh my, Technique is more dance, fine '80s, maybe more "commercial," but it was well received and in my opinion contains some great tracks, very well written. For example, the closing track, "dream attack," or the single "round and round." The recording quality is good, better than "lowlife" (they recorded everything in just one night, and you can tell), which seems a bit more inspired to me. It's a shame that "lowlife" doesn't include "thieves like us" and "lonesome tonight," but I believe you already have those as a single and b-side. Sorry for the interruption!!

Um, sorry, it was "games without frontiers," not the evening schedule of Rai in the '90s!!!

ege, I am listening to "Gabriel 3" right now. It seems to me that SOME sounds of Simple Minds and Gabriel have influenced each other, starting from these two albums (by the way, SM were his supporting band in the live shows of 1980-81). Although their new wave later took two different paths (one towards electronic-dance, the other more world music), I can clearly see certain tracks from Gabriel III in "Empires and Dance" and vice versa, from what I've been able to hear. In fact, I’ll tell you that at certain points "jeux sans frontieres" reminds me a bit of "king is white and in the crowd" taken from "new gold dream." Sorry if I wrote so much, but the idea of having before my eyes a "forking" of the 80s musical path of (two) great musicians/bands has fascinated me. Forgive me if it’s nonsense :-)

sorry for the delay and the curiosity, did you get any DMs? (I would have recommended, among others, "some great reward," 1984, with industrial technopop sounds. "Black celebration," 1986, more dreamlike, but very impactful. Anyway, all 5 albums mentioned in "singles 86>98" are spectacular. The last one is a bit strange, rough, doesn’t grab you on the first listen, maybe a bit less good than the 5 there, but it contains some excellent tracks. Best listened to in the dark, obviously. :-)
