Listen easy, I found a kind of "best of" by Van der Graaf Generator at Fnac, it costs 5.50 euros, and it seems to include tracks from albums from '69-'70-'71. I'm not particularly fond of the genre (actually, more than anything, I've just never gotten used to listening to it), but it seemed like a good deal. Did I spend wisely? No, because there were some strange price lists (strange to MY ears). People were spending 20 euros a pop on stuff that wasn't worth a dime, while these guys were at 5.50, along with Roxy Music and others. It pisses me off that people usually ignore how they are spending their money.
