Outside of Wilder, the experimentation doesn’t seem as pronounced anymore. They no longer handle the remixes themselves, and it shows. The maranzate that Mute has thrown at us on the recent single EPs have pissed everyone off a bit; even Gore himself isn’t satisfied.

ps-i DM WERE doing electronics, particularly with industrial experiments, with synth pop for the masses, "Violator", that rock-that-isn’t-acoustic-rock, namely Devotional, and also the minimalist "Exciter". Ultra is an album that moves a bit further away from electronics, just like "Playing the Angel", aside from the novelty of the roughness of the sounds which, by the way, intrigues me personally. I experiment too, you know.
