Well, Cave is a bit cooked now, but the beginning with the birthday parties and his early records are excellent. In short, tastes, affinities, dislikes. For example, I really appreciate Veloso and have listened to quite a bit, but I wouldn't put any of his records (like, I don't know, Livro, Estrangeiro) on the same level as From Her to Eternity. Maybe a Raindogs, yes, but we’re talking about high levels.

I must say that I find myself quite in agreement with the eneastro; regardless of how much one may like the album, I see Tago Mago perfectly fitting into those years, while other things viewed with today’s eyes are much less easily categorized. Perhaps it’s just a matter of historical cycles, but albums like Neu!2 (and Hallogallo as well) or Krautrock from Faust's fourth album sound decidedly more contemporary to me compared to the sounds of Tago Mago. Other works by Can give me the same impression from this perspective, beyond any value judgments, to be clear.
