Supersister Spiral Starcase
Voto:
I don't know this one, but if Super is right, considering that from what I remember of the first two, they seemed like epigones of Caravan, certainly not at the level of the originals, pleasant but not much more, I think I'll pass. Ah, the cover reminds me a lot of Strangeitude by Ozric Tentacles...
Weather Report Heavy Weather

yes yes, also because it’s true that everyone talks about it wonderfully...

But is it just me, or does Rosenwinkel annoy the hell out of me? He, like Ben Monder and others of the same ilk. Many say he’s the guitarist of the future, but I see it a bit like Barbieri, who looked on with great perplexity at this new polished and chamber-like jazz... at least, I heard deep song and it gave me that impression. Who knows, I’ll try to listen again.
Steven Spielberg Minority Report
Voto:
It may be because I haven't read the Dick book it's based on, which spares me from making unnecessary comparisons that I would have made otherwise, but I think it's a great film. Spielbergian in the best sense of the term, clearly better than that mess of Jurassic Park mentioned earlier.
American Music Club California

Great breakthrough, a truly beautiful album and I think one of the best singer-songwriter albums of the 80s. It's been a while since I listened to it; you've made me want to hear it again and also check out the others from American Music Club, since I stopped after Everclear, another one of the last I listened to casually and this one was the one I liked the most. Some really memorable tracks; now I'm thinking of "Western Sky," but there are several high-level ones.
Dino Risi I Mostri
Voto:
I find myself very far from the excessive praise, having said that Risi is great and the actors too, I saw it not too long ago and although it's quite entertaining, it's far from the levels, for example, of "Il Sorpasso," which is rather caricatural. I would give it a six and a half.
Terry Gilliam Tideland - Il Mondo Capovolto
Voto:
Hi Easy, since both you and Occulto speak highly of it, I think I can trust it. And then it’s Gilliam, come on.

Sorry man, I went to make a coffee, now I'm gonna mock it too.

>>>Guys, Rock Bottom is not a fundamental album.... Comparing it to, I don't know, Pink Moon by Nick Drake is like blaspheming in church!<<< Pink Moon is a great album, but for this you would deserve to be pointed out to the crowd and ridiculed.

I’ll tell you, Conte, I place Starsailor in my preferences a good fourth, after this, Happy Sad, and Blue Afternoon. I find Starsailor a bit unfinished, a great demonstration of what he was capable of, but the only spine-tingling moment for me is I Woke Up, while even as a die-hard fan I don’t think Song to the Siren is among his best tracks (Song to the Siren was supposed to end up on Happy Sad, but it was left off because a friend teased him about the line “I’m as confused as an oyster,” which on Starsailor becomes “I’m as confused as a newborn baby”). Still, hats off to Starsailor as well. Oh, one of the things I would change in this review is the appreciation for “I Had a Talk with My Woman,” which I treated a bit superficially but is absurdly beautiful.
