I enjoyed it; beneath the polished photography, there’s a film that is at times even unsettling, with "deep" characters perfectly portrayed by the two actresses. Especially Dench struck me as outstanding in capturing Barbara's obsessions.

The original titles are often better than the stuff that Italian distributors put out, which clearly shows they're indulging in drugs that open the doors of perception. Yet in the end, non-purist cinephiles go looking for the film (and its corresponding title) in Italian. Sure, there’s Google, but for me, writing one and the other isn’t a bad thing.

(By the way, Laurel and Hardy often make me laugh)

movie title for outsiders: "Susanna." Anyway, classic and whatever you want, really well made, but I don't like it. I don't know about back then, but it didn't make me laugh at all; it has gags with a childishness that makes Stan and Ollie look like the more refined Woody Allen.

Look dear supersoul, it’s people like you who turn debaser into a site that is often just vulgar and pointless >>>> I would say no, Supersoul at least talks about what he knows, you are passing judgments on stuff you know nothing about, I would say yours is very far from having the dignity of an opinion.

your goodness, blechtrommel! The Book of Disquiet is a collection of fragments that straddle the lyrical and the philosophical, written by Pessoa throughout his life. For me, it is absolutely wonderful, but I think that's been made clear. In fact, it was assembled into its current form by others: Libro dell'inquietudine - Wikipedia

I've had it set aside for a long time but I haven't listened to it yet. I hope to remedy that soon (it doesn't have much to do with it, but yesterday I was listening to the soundtrack of Drowning by Numbers by Nyman, getting quite bored; maybe the film makes it better, and it very well could, but by itself, it's a kind of minimalism that I find a bit tiresome).

Sorry, but if you thought it was that terrible, why did you even listen to the second album? Taste for the gruesome? Desire to be present during the inevitable criticisms?
