Without meaning to do an injustice to any of the interesting contributions, I have the impression that Holdsworth's comments are marked by a calm common sense. I believe he aims to point out important chapters but perhaps not so urgent in the Zappa oeuvre. If it’s true that the dissemination of some not particularly astonishing things may have harmed the image of the Zappa genius, I suppose Holdsworth's goal is precisely to safeguard the extremely important aspect of the character's genius. Then, preferring "Grand Wazoo," "Apostrophe," or "Uncle Meat" is, I think, just a matter of highly debatable tastes.

Great album, unusual for the band and a well-done review, considering the young age of the reviewer. I'll raise the score by one point after reading post 16. PS: to be visually paired with the DVD "Lamentations" recorded at the Shepherd Bush Empire a few years ago, still with the talented Peter Lindgren. The album, just released, was presented live.

There's no denying that the universe of characters on this site offers unexpected views. Notice that the guy in question (Amarok74) claims he’s firmly decided not to return to Debaser and, listen up! He informs us that he has TWO degrees and is registered with the order of chemists. In reality, he has returned several times (see the recent "contribution" on "Ommadawn" from his idol Mike Oldfield - he claims he hasn’t listened to anything else for 10 years-...!!!) and his "style" is always permeated with an "impeccable" language and an unwavering belief that he lives on Olympus. We, astonished in the face of such majesty and knowledge, bow down.

The more I read the comments of the one who gets read under Amarok74, the more there is to be "struck" by his unmistakable style and intellectual superiority. You have to try it to believe it. And he seems to have a degree too... .

Unfortunately, it's true, I'm used to (like many, here) dealing with rude and ignorant people like you, who are only capable of making grand statements and using offensive terms that I gladly return to the sender in this case.
