Lagrene had truly started his career on a high note and promised astonishing things. But it hasn't always been that way, unfortunately. I saw him with Jaco, live in '85, I believe, and he was really great back then. First, he "agrees" with Holdsworth (post 48), who ardently adores Zappa, and then in the following posts, he heavily doubts the figure and value of the character and the 25 albums produced after "Uncle Meat" (posts 53 and 56).
