Nucleus & Ian Carr Solar Plexus

Yes, of course, it's nice to reread about the "desaparecidos," but when it comes to commenting on works of a certain depth, evidently the antennas, for a moment, get retuned. As for Bruno Liegibastonliegi, I wait with confidence, just like for Padre Maronno and Mario Mariamario..... . Saludos companeros!

Ian Carr, the "Emilian" stone of European jazz-rock from the '70s. Solar Plexus is not bad, or at least it has never thrilled me personally. However, the review is well done and deserves it. Personally, I prefer the first one and, above all, "Labyrinth". Also, "Belladonna" is another nice piece (and then there's Holdsworth....)

How sad. A few days ago, I listened to their recent (2007?) live "Secret World" (same title as Gabriel's second live album) and everything seems to have faded away, even the intonation and the tone of their voice when they sing. They are the shadows of themselves... What a shame... If anyone listens to it, let me know your impressions; maybe I can change my mind...
Robert Wyatt Rock Bottom

Hi Green. You know, when the album came out, a long time ago, I bought it and despite understanding, like you, the importance of such expression, I couldn't fully appreciate it, except in parts. Now that I’m a few years older, I believe I share the same opinion. Wyatt isn’t for everyone, and one shouldn't feel embarrassed just because it's assumed you should "get it" when that’s not the case. So it's not that "you're not good enough," but rather that, quite simply, it probably just isn't made for you. :-).

Hello Jargohking! I want to point out, if it's needed, that the entire package has been reprinted by DGM (it had been out of catalog for a while). So there's the advantage of being able to purchase the four CDs separately as well. Cheers to all Crimson fans.

There's also another fascinating version of "Are You Going with Me" available on the album that Metheny recorded a few years ago with the Polish singer Anna Maria Jopek (who's also a nice piece....) and it's on the album "Upojenie." In case you don't know anything about it, here's a tasting link.....https://www.debaser.it/main/Video.aspx?y=cI_Sq-S5dug. Enjoy!
