The Stanley Clarke Trio Jazz in the Garden
Voto:
Well, let me say that riding the wave of this work, I (re)discovered an old live album by RTF (with our bassist) and also had the chance to see the recent DVD of the reformed, for the occasion, RTF at Montreux 2008. Two line-ups that illustrate quite precisely the strengths of the genre and style of this band in its various phases. And, in my opinion, flamboyance and excessive virtuosity aside... they still sound great. Especially when compared to the modern chaos, the carelessness of certain things, or the megawatts of some amplifications. Clarke has seen and heard a lot, and a delightful album like this only adds another piece to a career that, had it not been for Jaco, would have immortalized him as the most singular electric bassist of the late last century. Greetings to Conte, Odra, Acqua, and Jargo... not to mention, of course, the derecensore.
Brendan Perry Ark

Well, knowing that Perry is making a new album after 11 years is definitely news. If I then think back to "l'occhio del cacciatore" and the dedchendens, curiosity undoubtedly increases. Brendan's debut wasn’t really strong, and in the end, there was a certain disappointment. Meanwhile, with lo sfasciacarrozze, hopes seem to be rising. I greet and warmly thank the derecensore and also the dear.....fosca!

Nice review jargon. Maybe bewitched is a bit more subdued, but this ages well. And you too.....:-))

The clattering bloody carriage of the old Ulmer. Still alive? Great review, Jake. When I get two minutes, I'll go look for it. Otherwise, get ready to drop the lingo!

Steve Hackett Out Of The Tunnel's Mouth

Indeed, additional perspectives and details enrich the previous, well-done review by Meco. I would emphasize the opportunity to see Hackett live, if possible. Having had the chance to do so multiple times, I can point out how in this way one can be fully convinced of the quality of his work.

Ah ah ah :-))). A fascist who likes black people. That's quite remarkable and I hadn’t encountered that before. You've truly stolen a smile from me. Thank you for this. However, I stand on the other side. "Listen to more jazz" may sound a bit "proud," indeed, but, dear you, it’s just a heartfelt invitation. As for the rest - as you mentioned - you'll see that... an apparent enmity can transform into something more "positive." After all, a cultured, intelligent person with a passion for music like you will surely come to "feel" the things that leave a mark along the way. Or at least, I hope so! And since you’ve rightly enjoyed reading some of my things here... give "Unspoken" by Katia Labeque a listen, which I’ve reviewed right here on these pages and... have a great journey. I bid you farewell, hero, with... another smile! Let me know, if you ever do! Bye.
