My favorite review of db, for sure. Congratulations, and the album is a masterpiece.
Lilium Short Stories

I love lilium, morphine, and 16 horsepower without distinction. Furthermore, I’m trying to track down the first album by lilium in the hope that it’s of the same caliber as this one. Thank you for the beautiful page.

I really envy you, no doubt about it!!
Condorbars go get some apples over there!
R.E.M. Lifes Rich Pageant
Voto:
I was thinking... why aren’t the detractors coming to comment on this record?!? Maybe it's simply because they’re unaware of its existence!! Well, that’s all to the good if you ask me!!
16 Horsepower Secret South
Voto:
Incredibly powerful, try listening to "clogger" live... it's an even better show than the album.
16 Horsepower Sackcloth 'n' Ashes
Voto:
Magnificent, even though I think their best works are the eponymous "16 horsepower" and "secret south". Still, I can't rate this any lower than 5.
R.E.M. Around The Sun
Voto:
In my opinion, the worst of the trio. It wavers between up and reveal but fails to be either one. From the whole album, I would only save the Ascent of Man and Leaving New York. Unfortunately, the record has been gathering dust for who knows how long.
R.E.M. Out Of Time
Voto:
Those who claim that R.E.M. always produces the same sugary, repetitive stuff have no idea what they're talking about. For example, in my opinion, the standout tracks of this album are "Low" and "Country Feedback," but most of those who say they know them through "Out of Time" have probably never even heard of them. Maybe it's because they have the repeat button pressed on "Losing My Religion" and "Shiny Happy People"?!?!
Moreover, to refute the argument about their being overly sentimental and tear-jerking, I invite skeptics to check out the following tracks: "Turn You Inside-Out," "Begin the Begin," "These Days," "Star 69," "Bang and Blame," and nearly everything from "Monster," as well as "Sitting Still," "Departure," "So Fast, So Numb," etc.
Clearly, tastes are subjective, but one should also know how to discuss them.
Ingmar Bergman Il settimo sigillo
Voto:
An indisputable masterpiece and not even the most beautiful by Bergman in my opinion!
