My Bloody Valentine M B V
Voto:
I don't care. MbV were never even my favorite shoegaze band (I’ve always been for the Slowdive party), but this doesn’t seem like a speculative reunion at all. The album is excellent and isn’t a shameless copy of their previous works (there's actually a distant reference to the pieces written by Shield for Lost in Translation) but rather a continuous thread with what they built before. Whether it came out now or in '93 doesn't bother me at all. I'm glad it was released because it's commendable. The review is great too, very heartfelt.

With the review, you didn't really go all out, but I have to confirm that the album is fantastic; it played on repeat on my stereo last summer. "Back to This," "Can't Say No," and "Shed Your Love" are the best in my opinion.

Monumental.
Millencolin For Monkeys
Voto:
Good review, it's an album that I literally wore out back in the day along with the previous works of Millencolin (among my favorites are the tracks "Twenty Two" and "Black Gold"). A 5 for the album seems a bit exaggerated though... a 3 and a half seems like a more than adequate rating.
Jefferson Airplane Crown Of Creation

What a disappointment...like all the Jefferson records after all...;)
Yes Close To The Edge
Voto:
I don't understand how you can't like "And you and I"... I find it simply majestic and passionate. Of course, from a technical standpoint, the title track and Siberian Khatru are superior, but when it comes to emotions, there's no comparison as far as I'm concerned.

Slowdive Just For A Day
Voto:
Souvlaki is an absolutely amazing album and it remains my favorite shoegaze record (including Loveless).
The Replacements Sorry Ma, Forgot To Take Out The Trash
Voto:
The title itself is the premise of a great album!

Acoustic guitars, banjos, and violins - altcountry - violent femmes - Mine!
A really evocative page as well.
