The review is excellent anyway... but I would remind those who say that hip hop hasn't produced good albums of just two titles: "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" (1988) by Public Enemy (Scaruffi gives it an 8, just to say) and "Radio" (1984) by LL Cool J..
Moreover, the much-maligned Eminem has, in my humble opinion, produced at least one very interesting album... commercial if you want, but very experimental within its genre, namely "The Marshall Mathers LP," which is one of my favorite albums..
As for Italian hip hop, I would recommend listening to "Medicna Buona" by Comitiva, an absolutely forgotten album by everyone, but for me a true masterpiece with all the coordinates of good rock: a bit of new wave neurosis, a bit of industrial sounds, a bit of punk.. it's the only album to which I've given my personal ten.. and it's not like I listen exactly to Britney Spears, on the contrary.. my favorite bands are the Residents and Bark Psychosis..
Before throwing shade on hip hop, let’s delve a bit deeper..

Michela, listen to Captain Beefheart :D he's the most commercial there is! But I also recommend John Fahey, The Pop Group, Nick Cave, Klaus Schulze, and Royal Trux..make sure to note these names, okay! They're super commercial so you should like them...

As a fuel, I appreciate it a lot, and I'm not just talking about the record!

They should teach an album like this in schools...

Guys.. the one above clearly wasn't me! This is one of my favorite albums... especially the first 4 and even more specifically halleluwah (or however it's spelled).. really.. I don’t know what was wrong with me that day when I called it nice.. I must have been delirious.. this is a cornerstone of rock!

this is the most "magical" record I've ever heard... genius and recklessness blend perfectly in this great album.. a must-have in rock history, especially the first minutes of the opening track.. with that cabaret march.. don't you find it strangely reminiscent of the residents? it's unsettling!!!
