I’m quite surprised that no one knows this album... it shows how underrated it has been...

Well, for example, in "brendan # 1" by Fugazi, I can definitely hear the Blind! Then we all agree that they are two different genres, the first one pure hardcore and the second instrumental hardcore, but the influence is undeniable, and I'm not the only one saying it.

Yes, she defines herself as "punk"... if only she knew how far she is from punk... just like all those other idiots like blink182, green day...

for heaven's sake..this is an immense record..and probably among the top 5 albums in history..but in my opinion, they weren't THAT innovative..in the sense that their brilliant insights into modern alienation were introduced, a year earlier, by the Suicide, and perhaps in an even more radical form, undoubtedly more distressing.
So, praises and honors to Pere Ubu who certainly invented a new way of making music, but if we give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, the new wave, historically, already began in 1977.

Now I like it.. you can tell I wasn't ready before =) lately I've been rediscovering the masterpieces of rock that are traditionally more "indigestible," like that of Royal Trux or Dead C... an essential album for anyone who wants to get to the roots of progressive sound.
