there's little to joke about..alternative music will always be infinitely superior to commercial crap. I don't know this record, but I know "daddy has a tail" by the cows.. that one with the goofy dog on the cover =D

this minimum was made in the small cellar where grandpa Czukay kept the sausages to age
this knocked me out =D I laughed for an hour..getting to the record, it’s very very but very challenging for those who aren’t prepared for the category "strangeness," so not for me. =)

When it comes to the Monks... I have to make a distinction: it's undoubtedly a historic album for what it proposes; I wouldn't completely disagree with those who claim their sound is proto-punk. The fact remains that it's hard to appreciate it: it feels a bit musically too sparse to me. In certain tracks, there's an impression of sheer lack of ideas, in my opinion. I think I might change my rating.
As for other garage bands... the Blues Magoos had piqued my interest, but after listening to them, I was extremely disappointed... nothing more than simple high school beat.
To those who asked about the Kinks... well, I can only say that they invented the first hard rock riff ("You Really Got Me"), the first decadent song ("Sunny Afternoon"), and their album "Village Green Preservation Society" is a miracle of fusion of vastly different genres. Draw your own conclusions...

Listen to the godz, their first album "contact high with the godz" from '66 is one of the most "deviated" albums of all time: it sounds like it was played and sung by brain-dead beings.

The album is impossible to find (you can even find it online for astronomical prices).

How dare you say that no one knows him? =) Here on Debaser, we all know everything! In fact, I know him too... and I must say it's a nice album, at times rich in virtuosity, but frankly it doesn't seem to me like it exceeds in originality... Anyway, good mention! Ah, I found it as the only copy left in a shop, tossed in the dust, left there to rot... it took me to buy it for him ;)

Um... I just finished downloading what you should have downloaded... I'm sorry to tell you that it's only disc 1 with a couple of bonus tracks... disc 2 is completely missing!
