Earth Earth 2: Special Low Frequency Version
Voto:
I have it, but I've never been able to listen to it all the way through... my parents would make me take it out of the CD player in the living room after ten minutes =D this is to say how extreme this album is, honestly too much. So I don't like it.
Rece, on the other hand, is very original.

great release of 2001... this is really the manzarek of the 2000s.
Run On Start Packing

Sensational record, beautiful, tremendously captivating! Avant-garde and poppy at the same time, these Run On... I wanted to do it myself, can you believe it! I completely agree that this is one of the most beautiful works of the past decade.
Pan Sonic Kesto (234.48.4)

I don't agree with the review, but it expresses its point of view quite well. For me, Kesto is formidable in some parts (and coincidentally, all in the first album), but also the second isn't bad, I would say... the fourth is pure avant-garde; one must take it for what it is, like a “cut” by Fontana. Perhaps the real disappointment is the third one, which is practically empty =( I would say, slightly reforming the scores: first 7.5, second 6.5, third 4, fourth 5 = 5.75, which we can round to a six minus. Come on, it's an album at least worthy of passing.

Well... yeah... in my opinion, Images and Words created a genre, prog-metal.. you figure it out.. I almost forgot "circa now," which I just finished reviewing =)
Cat Power You Are Free

the album is truly a gem..in this decade so unworthy in terms of rock, "You are free" is one of the few signs that rock is not dead.

It feels so much like trip hop to me... it doesn't fully grab me... maybe because I hate trip hop...

The album is nothing short of innovative, but in my opinion, its greatness ends there. Let me explain: there is no doubt that in '68 this music was light years ahead, but its charm, in my view, entirely stems from that... because the compositions aren’t really that great, at least from a musical perspective. The technique, at certain points (like "Dust"), seems a bit self-serving to me... however, if you want to hear something even more innovative... listen up... I recommend everyone check out "Orgasm" by Cromagnon... industrial music and screams a la Suicide in '68! In my opinion, it's the most forward-thinking album of all time!

Damn!!!! It doesn't deserve my five stars just for a couple of somewhat banal tracks, but for the rest, it's one of the most original works of '92. We complain so much that with Slint rock is dead, but gentlemen... in '92 we had "mother of all saints"..."down colourful hill"..."harsh 70's reality"..."this is not a dream"..."images and words"..."a picture of nectar"... and indeed this. A masterpiece more beautiful than the other... if rock was dead with these titles, my children...
