Nice review. Clearly, the Valentina inspire! I hope my record dealer can get a new supply, so I won't be forced to hold seances to listen to them.

I’ll be a little late (just read it now…), but congratulations on the review. I think I need to listen to them again, damn.

Here’s what it was called: campo Boario! And I, when people asked me where the After had played, would reply: "you know, that dirt road just below Ostuni, right there"! Anyway, I get the impression that Manuel often and willingly wears that red shirt, and does it seem like a Manuelistic talk to make concessions to the context around him? Nah, at most he just spits.

I don’t know. When I chose the nickname, I simply liked the sound. Then I thought there are many hidden and insidious reasons: first of all, I don’t want to be objective; I prefer the idea of being biased. Which is also somewhat the perspective of the site, after all (and I’m totally fine with that). Second, I start a lot of things halfway, then I get distracted. There are probably other reasons, but I can’t recall them.

Well, it's when you take a lot of images that come to your mind and lay them out one after the other, cut into pieces, maybe not even respecting the initial order, if there is one. A kind of stream of consciousness, a syncopated flow of thoughts. For example: I don't know, the text of 1.9.9.6., with the architects, the squarciafavole, etc. etc.

x Enkriko: No, it doesn't seem too much to me. Some of his texts have a tendency to slowly enter my mind: I don't understand them right away, then at times, in front of particular contexts or states of mind, I manage (at least I think) to grasp them. I associate this process of gradual understanding with the concept of poetry. You might call it "cut up," fine, but excuse me, don't "traditional" poets who compact their impressions in poetic composition actually perform a montage of images? I also really like how Manuel uses words, his attention to sounds as well as meanings, another concept I associate with the medium of poetry.

ingenuapupattola, you’re a legend, starting with your username! You make me burst out laughing, and I’d like to take this opportunity to compliment you again on your review of the Peter Murphy concert. Anyway, you really need to get the Basile, yes indeed, it’s worth it, especially Gran Calavera Elettrica, five out of five on these pages from the kosmo. A colorful note, or rather a little detail: at the concert in Ostuni, Manuelone hardly sweated at all. Just the classic patch under his armpits. So much so that my girlfriend speculated he might not be feeling well. Poor thing.

I've been reading Il Mucchio quite regularly since it became a monthly publication, and I like the approach to the reviews (I do have some reservations about non-music-related articles). I've also bought almost all the extras so far, so I should have the one you mention (unfortunately, my brain forgets at a disturbing speed). And if they see the MV as an important group, I can only agree! In any case, I haven't trusted a single magazine for a while now, and I prefer wandering through the realms of the internet (in addition to reading Rumore, and now it’s your turn to be humorously ironic: we’re passing the ball). Anyway, I generally respect all opinions: lately, I was discussing the originality of Massimo Volume with a friend, and he replied, "Thank goodness they are original! Can you imagine if there were others?" Well, I assure you I didn’t throttle him. Your review hit a nerve, because I’m too much of a fan of the group, but also because I’m not a big fan of those who use irony for negative critiques. I would have preferred to read a couple of lines like: "Damn, Il Mucchio said this group was rock, then I found myself with a guy reading over a carpet of guitar farts. Give me my money back!" Hmmm, thinking about it, maybe irony is better...

I’m one of the admirers: I really like Massimo Volume. I find their work very poetic; it penetrates me, it's painful and necessary. A mirror of discomfort, even my discomfort. Clementi's voice hypnotizes and enchants me more than a thousand "traditional" singers. The soundscape is spot on. I don’t know if they are original; certainly, I don't have other bands like them in my collection. As for your review: thanks to... They do that: recited and set-to-music poems. If you had informed yourself even a little, and not just on Debaser, you would have known this and saved yourself from buying the CD. This way, we could have spared ourselves this delightfully ironic review. But what did you do, then? Did you buy all the mid-price CDs that were listed among the 50 Italian masterpieces of the authoritative magazine?
