Great wreck of carriages! Fantastic response: I read it all (miracle) and it’s much more concise than my rambling (as you rightly pointed out). As for the solution you suggested, namely royal jelly, I must say that, knowing myself, at this time I would rather opt for a brain transplant, since it increasingly appears evident the progressive necrotic degeneration of vast neuronal areas. Anyway, I don’t think I was ever called "Monsieur" even when I was in France: there's always a first time...

Smasher, oh my God, I have a little problem. I consider you at least original, having found this formula of hyper-baroqueness for reviews in a context where usually there’s a tendency towards synthetic dynamism and the excessive use of youthful terms or strong, immediate images. Because of this, I always open your reviews and prepare myself with interest to read, certain at least to laugh a bit, if not to gain some interesting information. Then, and this will be the third time now, I can’t get past ten lines read. I get stuck, I get distracted. And the same thing happens to me with your comments!!! I’m sure I'm also to blame, because right now I’m not at my peak of concentration, but damn it, what the hell… Well, in short, I’m sorry: I could say that ā€œI can’t stand you.ā€ But in a good way: I can’t resist your eloquence. Well, with these two lines I wanted to apologize for my inadequacy and take the opportunity to ask you: but how are you in real life?! You’ve sparked considerable curiosity in me, quite frankly. However, rest assured that I will always try to make it to the end of your reviews (and maybe if you write one with 9 lines, I’ll make it…). And when I do, I’ll also try to give you a rating. Bye bye.

Damn. One of the best?! Alright, damn, I'm listening to it again, okay, crap, I swear. Anyway, I'll soon fill in the gaps with the two intermediate works, and maybe in a few days I'll get back to this page with a different opinion. Two notes: first of all, I really haven't read the lyrics (and I can't understand English just by listening, alas), so maybe if I take a look at the booklet I'll find some interesting insights (or I might get pissed off, who knows). Second note: am I not a bit intimidated by you, Trell?!? It's like: a "partially" ignorant guy in front of a person with culture (in this case, obviously, adding the "musical" qualification). I mean, damn, I should just say: okay, this piece sucks, instead here I am apologizing for my lack of background... From this perspective, I suppose it will be interesting (and reassuring) to meet you at the concert in Rome, if only to see that you don’t spit fire (because you don’t, right?).

WSC would be WCS, being Worst Case Scenario!!! Long live acrostics, or acronyms, or whatever they're called.

My first encounter with dEUS was WSC in 2004 (a friend told me: 'listen to these weird guys'). It was nice; they slowly convinced me, but they did. Most of all, I liked the schizoid attitude of the tracks. The second encounter with dEUS: YESTERDAY, when I decided to buy PR. First impression: they have become "normal." Since yesterday I've reached maybe the sixth listen. Given that here they're highly praised, I felt it was necessary to share. Ok, Bad Timing and Sun Ra. Beautiful, beautiful, and I add beautiful. The rest glides between highs and lows. I have the feeling that "The real sugar" just doesn’t appeal to me, nada de nada, it remains a bit indigestible. Ah, "Nothing really ends," can I say it? Come on, I'll say it: such a drag. Well, anyway, I'll keep trying and I'll be ready for the concert in Rome.

Oops the rating for the album. Being number 1 for me it’s pretty obvious.

This album is truly beautiful, and I wonder how I didn't place it (at the top) of my Dedischi collection yet. Rereading snippets of the phenomenal lyrics sent a shiver down my spine. Just for the record, nobody killed Spider-Man, because usually Marvel heroes always come back, so they are immortal. Kudos to the derecensor.
Marco Parente Neve Ridens
Voto:
Very nice: it maintains the high-medium level of Marco Parente's production. Well, he has been producing stuff like this for quite some time (his first work was published in '98), and not just "in times like these." In fact, perhaps it left me a bit puzzled, his excessive adherence, with this first neve ridens, to the ā€œparentianā€ dynamics that I had greatly admired in "trasparente" and "testa, dì cuore." In two words, it seemed to me that there was almost no research in these songs, but rather a sort of autopilot (a "professional" work), which nevertheless resulted in a very pleasant outcome. As for the voice, well, it doesn't seem hypo-intensive to me; on the contrary, it seems exactly the opposite: the lyrics sometimes give me the impression of not being anything special, but they are elevated, exalted by his interpretation. Finally, here comes the critique of Italians who, as usual, do a terrible job and accomplish nothing while art and true talent lie elsewhere. Excuse me, let me understand, but if you listen to little Italian music, how can you say that? It seems to me a bit of a comfortable, not to mention provincial position. And if the only examples of Italian-ness you can come up with are Jovanotti, Max Pezzali, and Lucio Dalla, well, then thank you for confirming that Italy is terrible.

Anything can happen in life - especially nothing, mainly nothing. Once you know that, you're fine. Once you know that, you can retire. Set your clock by your heart. Work's over-rated and it will kill you. Finish nothing you start and start
