Noo! You chose THOSE words for a quote! Just THOSE! How beautiful this ciddì is, so many memories: I remember my friend S* made me copy it onto a cassette, me returning to his house after the first 37 listens to hand-copy the lyrics, me, after absorbing every single moment of this monument, buying it on CD ten years later (nice price, evabbeh). Greg Dulli put his solemn scribble on the cover, defacing it forever with his big hand. How many times have I sung "If I were going" with the guitar and the wind blowing in my brain? How many times have I imagined myself on stage with a spotlight framing me, and I, yes ME, starting MY concert with "Gentlemen"?

Interesting! There's a band from my city called Ultraviolet (and they should have released two albums if I'm not mistaken) and I'm not really that fond of them. So I've always thought that "Ultraviolet makes me sick" was a fitting name. Makes sense, right?

trellheim, too bad you couldn't come... (maybe by signing up for the appropriate demeeting, which then would have turned into a de tete-a-tete like with the evens). In any case, if you want Italian concerts, I repeat and insist: there are the perturbazione on December 1st. Okay, they don't inspire you, but still give it a thought (the others I've recommended them to have thanked me).

Great review. It almost makes me want to relax and immerse myself in listening to this CD. I say almost because it's hard for me to want to listen to relaxing music, and then if I read "degenere orchestrale," I immediately imagine it to be an endless bore. Anyway, well done. NB: Perhaps it's the first time I've read "this is my first review" and thought: first but beautiful.
