At Basentì, I understood that you hate the review and the album, but it’s not like every time you write you have to give a 1; you’re catastrophically bringing down my average.

No, wait a moment, I have written a few reviews here, but absolutely without any pretension of being a music critic or a brilliant writer. I wrote this because I wanted to do it for someone I know, who deserves recognition for their serious dedication to the instrument. I certainly don't claim to write about music to influence anyone's taste, far from it. And then Zappa used to say that writing about music is like dancing about architecture; I completely agree.

Listen, let's just end it here because it's already too much. I don't understand your obsession.

But what friends, you know I don’t care, I completely disagree anyway. And then, if you say I'm an amateur, you're already giving me a compliment. I’ll repeat myself, I’m not questioning your expertise, but you reviewed an album that, by your own admission, you listened to for 20 seconds, which seems a bit little, or a bit much; if we want to have a serious discussion, we need to argue better. Then I was referring to the fact that you wrote someone with an apostrophe in the middle, BLU. Anyway, you mentioned Benedetti Michelangeli, who has recently become my idol, well done.

Alright, it’s clear that our positions are irreconcilable. Anyway, aside from the rules of jazz syntax, assuming they exist—and I don’t believe they do—take a look at the rules of Italian syntax, which, indeed, are of primary importance. Don’t take it personally, but if you really must... goodbye.

More than just right, it's legitimate. Well, I certainly won't be a fine connoisseur, and as someone in the field, I'm really limited, but you talk about these people as if they were incapable, and that's not the case. I feel the gaps too, make no mistake, but overall the album is pleasant, and there's a track that I think is very interesting, the 3rd or 4th, I believe; sorry, but I've heard worse from the well-known names. If you can, give me some names because I'm curious, but please, not Cafiso.

Maybe if you try to listen to it for more than twenty seconds it has a different effect. Then when things are said like that, they only taste like petty nastiness for its own sake, and if they're directed at younger colleagues, they make me want to have explosive diarrhea. Not to mention voting 1 on my review, may God forgive you. Then you jazz musicians, touched by the Holy Spirit, one day you'll explain to me where the hell you get such arrogance; in my opinion, those who play traditional music in dance halls understand much more about music than many of you do—mind you, I wrote music, not about music.
