In my opinion, Elisa is the only singer and songwriter worthy of the name who is currently active in Italy. She has a strong melodic sense, even if she doesn’t always fully capitalize on it, but she is still very young. The music that is out there is so terrible that if someone tries to create melodies, they aren’t even understood. Instead of looking at the specks in Elisa’s eyes, why don’t you try looking at the poles that record labels are trying to shove up our asses day in and day out?

So my review of Alegria by Wayne Shorter shouldn't really be here on Debaser... anyway, I'll throw out a name: in my opinion, the artist who deserves to be at the top of the Debaser chart is 50 Cent, and this comes from a passionate fan of "black" music.

I saw Cobham live a couple of years ago, he’s almost seventy but looks like Tyson with how pumped he is, to stay on topic, and he plays with a killer groove, except at one point he wanted to do a fifteen-minute solo with two drumsticks in each hand, which I think was unnecessary. But he’s really great. By the way, Frank Gambale was on guitar and he truly amazed me, a fucking alien, I’ve never seen anyone with that technique...
