Frantz, did you see Costello yesterday afternoon on Domenica In with Bonolis? He was great! But what was he doing there? (sic!)

Thank you Mr_Iko, great review for an epoch-making album, magnificent and more relevant than ever. "I never done good things/ I never done bad things/ I never did anything out of the blue/ Want an axe to break the ice/ Wanna come down right now..."

It depends on how they do it: it's a matter of attitude. I'm harsh on The Thrills (... I said they're good and capable, though) because they're "soft," lacking character. In contrast, Kings Of Leon, to stay in the '70s revival genre, are definitely better, more substantial, less "wobbly" (the same goes for The Strokes, while Black Rebel M.C. also don't convince me). I'm not against revival; on the contrary, but faded carbon copies generally don't convince me. It’s an instinctive impression of mine... gut feeling... in short, The Thrills don't move me that much...

Did I misunderstand you? Did you express yourself poorly? I have never questioned that femininity is put in second place in de-baser! Of course not. I've been here for a short time, so I can't judge yet. In fact, I can only say that the welcome has been wonderful! The topic came up because La Lady called me a tomboy... sensitive about something, why? I don't know, I don't understand... and I don't want to understand; in the end, I’m just not interested in this topic: I am myself, the rest doesn’t matter.

Giov, do you really think I was rude? I don't think so at all... explain to me where I was rude... I'm interested! Now I'm feeling embarrassed...

I'm the one who talked about "pulling him out of drugs"... Anonymous friend, in the '70s I saw a lot of people getting high and then getting high again until they were no longer here with us. I'm talking about my friends, my cousin, and rock stars I adored. I don't need to watch Trainspotting again (maybe it's better, dear anonymous, for you to watch Wir Kinder von Bahnhof Zoo - "We can be heroes, just one day..." - not the rosewater of Trainspotting), and Lou Reed was a heroin addict, no doubt about it, just like Iggy and a thousand others (Keith Richards? Marc Bolan? Sid Vicious? Brian Ferry? Johnny Cash???) Bowie, on the other hand, was on a different boat, and when he could, he helped those who were drowning... He put Iggy and Reed in a clinic, and he paid for their care. This is HISTORY.

I also have the anthology of Arcana, to which I would make a small, actually important criticism: NO PHOTOS! How can that be? At least a few nice photos, I don’t know, three or four: one in the style of Ziggy, one of Diamond Dog, one of Duca, one of Heaten. And then the photo on the cover... ugly! It doesn’t even look like Bowie...
Reed got some help, yes, but once he got back on track he preferred to do things his own way, which is fair enough. The problem is that his mind is really twisted and egocentric... but he is great, always and no matter what.

For Sallus: the new Strokes is coming out soon. Let's wait for them at the gate!
