I really liked the film, realistic, extremely violent (I can’t recall any other Italian films that have such a visual impact), free from easy moral judgments, it neither glorifies nor victimizes anyone... it’s a film that poses questions but doesn’t provide answers. You’re being too hard on Favino. Yes, it’s true he has a face that looks a bit silly, but it’s a very malleable face like plasticine, the dream of every director. He’s growing a lot and I believe he will bring even more satisfaction in the future. In Il Traditore, he is exceptional. You didn’t mention Marco Giallini, so let’s mention him, another one who is coming out very well, even though he’s done some terrible things. I really like Borghi, fortunately he’s stopping with the exaggerated eye bulging he used to do in the beginning. Isn’t Marinelli the one who played Fabrizio de André? UHM.

Carta Straccia is one of my all-time favorite Italian albums. I was 14 when the radio played first Stai con me, sto con te, and then Nel ghetto. And I assure you that sound, that level of execution from everyone involved in the recording, from the musicians to those at the console, through the FM radio of the time was pure enjoyment.
