The comparison with Dälek makes sense since they are on Ipecac Records by Patton, and Zach Hill/Hella, if I'm not mistaken, are friends of Patton and have recorded one or two albums with him... The funny thing is that -I reiterate- you're talking about it unaware... not knowing that you're discussing the same circle of “lunch buddies”... :)

Dear Deserter, honestly this is not a critical review... A little bit of information! That is, it’s clear from the start that you don't know what or who you’re talking about. Zach Hill is one of the most innovative drummers in the American math rock and noise scene; he has played not only with his band Hella but also with a ton of people (like with Boredoms). He is a drummer. So it seems to me the least we can expect are accelerated tempos, sudden changes, and various "abominations." Otherwise, he would have been playing jazz.
