I agree with the Boredom. A nice little disagreement and beautiful feelings conveyed by you.

Damn Sally Field.... shoot her! Unbearable. Boring movie, end of story. How annoying is Daniel Day-Lewis... these outstanding actors... like Streep... all of them legitimizing controversial characters, all of them giving that extra sheen of excellence because they end up winning the Oscar. Huh.... double huh.

I really enjoyed this film, and so did some of my tough and pure male friends... it's a story of male symbiosis, not of romantic love in the feminine sense of the term. I would love to get my hands on the collection of stories it's based on, whose original title is in English "Rust and Bones": more explicit, raw, and unfiltered than any possible translation.

Beautiful album listened to and replayed many times. I know his work well (including the earlier ones before the soundtracks, which is a long and glorious apprenticeship) and as a person, I've had the pleasure of witnessing his availability and friendship. Stay tuned for the album produced together with Blixa Bargeld that is coming out in May. Bye Geo!

They were sexy!!! I have always adored Manzanera, his "Guitarissimo" is a spec-ta-cu-lar album...

I arrived here through a PVC comment I read on his profile... here on the debasio I've always said I hate Zappa's music but that's not true. It's not that I hate it, but I know it by heart. I practically spent my adolescence among die-hard Zappa fans, so the listening was sometimes – often, actually – forced, and they laughed in my face when I talked about bands that might have been unknown (like Fugazi, just a random example). My dislike stems from having been a "dissident" (witch at the stake) in the kingdom of King Frank, let me tell you, dear King Jargone. Then when I started selling records, the delirium (or the paradox) was that these Zappa fans, along with a large number of other followers (Ticino was divided in two: on one side the Iron Maiden fans and on the other the Zappa fans, with all the consequences of both cases) kept bothering me to get Zappa bootlegs. And I, knowing that he found this extremely annoying, engaged in immense discussions just to avoid having to sell these bootlegs (which I then had to hide in the toilet since I had frequent checks from Lady Suisa…). In short, Zappa has always been a reason for debate and anger for me and never for sharing :) thanks for your patience and for the banter :)

I somewhat agree with Geenoo about the age of the viewers... I had the same thought before regarding your review of The Wrestler (thinking about Aronosky and The Fountain, which I believe is his masterpiece) that certain films are like Steely Dan albums... it really depends on the age of the person approaching them. Great review. To be honest, I haven’t watched the film completely due to the late hour and the couch being too cozy to be sleepily ignored. But your perspective gives me a reason to watch it in full.

Damn! Masoko Tanga is the real gem of this album! It’s a fantastic track that you might dismiss too easily as a jam session, but it’s a beautiful tribute to the Africa that Copeland loves so much.
