PJ Harvey Is This Desire?

Tsunami… it’s your problem if you don't want to listen to it… imagine that. If you don't even accept advice… it's always your problem. But I will always be here to defend Consoli against those like you who talk and talk without even knowing. Music is passion for music; they are on the opposite side, you know! Long live the stubbornness…

Sorry, but what's wrong with saying "I like to think of myself as the Italian Pj Harvey"? Poor thing... So if Harvey said "I like to think of myself as the new Patty Smith," would you spit in her face? Let's do this: you've never really listened to Consoli, so you can't talk. Listen to her and then we can discuss. (Mai come ieri is by Mario Venuti, not hers). Bye.

Umma downloads "Ratamahatta" if you're looking for the maximum "tribal" influence of the album. The video is beautiful :)

From www.pollysize.com: "Music magazines find some common ground between Polly and Carmen Consoli, the famous and talented Sicilian 'cantantessa,' even going so far as to call Carmen 'A little PJ Harvey.' A few years ago, Consoli said in an interview for Radio DJ that she loved Polly Jean very much (she had the DJ play the song Down By The Water) and her music." Perhaps they would do better to kill the magazines for their statements, and you who perpetuate misinformation and prejudice against the music. Ciau Ciau

Well, the DT managed to leverage their technical abilities to create something complex and well-arranged. A beautiful album, even though it still has a rather raw sound (Awake, A Change of Seasons, and Scenes from a Memory are three other must-have albums. Perfect sound). You forgot to mention the "colossal" Learning to Live, which closes the record. But oh well... after three comments without a rating... now you'll hate me :)

We're just not there, Cliff... I believe that cleanliness and technique are the things that the Metallica really lack... and this album too. Ulrich is a mediocre drummer (he can keep time, sure... but he's still mediocre). Impossible tempos?? Come on. Anyway... it's still just a personal opinion. 3 for you and the album (I've never been a HUGE fan of Metallica).

Nice review. I listened to the album... and I’m not convinced at all. Maybe I’ll read some lyrics... In the meantime, my impression is a 3 :) good job anyway. P.S. The gallery on the site is cool: are they retouched or completely computer-made? ghghgh _

There is a difference between "e" as a conjunction and "è" as a verb predicate. In the next review Iko, I want ten sentences with one and ten with the other. You are a Kid F, as well as touchy.
