Katatonia Discouraged Ones
Voto:
Yes, Airone, but can I criticize you? You have this fixation with comparison and generalization. You always have to compare the reviewed artists with those you love. You always have to generalize. But who cares if Laura Archini (who may not be someone extraordinary but does her job well) talks about metal or Pincopallino? I know very well that Wyatte is a genius, but what the hell does that have to do with Katatonia?? Yours is a common vice among many, but it’s not constructive because it means trying to overpower other people's ideas without objectively evaluating them. I have never treated Katatonia as a rare gem; I know very well that they have been playing for ages and that they are well-known. So what? They are a band that has touched the hearts of many music lovers, including myself (and it doesn’t matter that it's metal). This is because often, very often, you just need to look beyond your own nose to find emotions, just put a CD from a band like this on the player without searching for some groundbreaking milestone in music history. Because if we think this way, if for us there are only the greats and all other musicians aren’t worth a dime, then we kill music; we stagnate it. Don’t make comparisons; they’re useless in this case.
Flaw Through The Eye

Great album. Really. It's truly honest, compared to all the crap of the genre that's out there... But if we really have to label it in some way (but why should we?), we inevitably have to call it nu metal.
However, I recommend it because such an honest nu metal album hasn't been heard in a long time. Good review too.

Thank you, Zion. However, I didn't say that this album is a masterpiece, but just that for those who listen to death metal, it's very, very good!! Anyway, I don't deny that something like that could happen...

But go fuck yourself. On philosophes, opinions can be conflicting, but not on this album, which is a milestone in metal and a work of art. You haven't even explained your reasons. If you want to comment, do it with knowledge, not by writing bullshit, idiot...

You are always too kind!! :-))
Slipknot Vol.3: The Subliminal Verses

Perhaps you didn't understand, when I mentioned "intimist Slipknot" I was referring to the music, not the lyrics, and it's the first time they've written a melodic song of this kind... I have all their albums so I believe I can say that.
Immortal Battles In The North

But please. The Immortals were great in the past, and they remained so until their breakup!! It’s true, Battles in The North is a milestone... But it’s not their best album!!! Because gems like "At The Heart Of Winter" and the much-criticized yet beautiful "Sons Of Northern Darkness" are true masterpieces. Far from being puppets of the record label. Far from being pathetic. They are the true spirit of Norwegian black metal!!

Yes, the album is kind of a letdown... but I have to admit that listening to it at 14 contributed to my transition from punk to metal... it sounds stupid but that's how it is. So, I have a bit of an emotional attachment to it. Alright, I'll give it a 3 for friendship. Even though they really get on my nerves.
