Unsane Scattered, Smothered & Covered

In any case, we have entered the realm of personal tastes here... I really like "Soulside Journey" a lot, and I even have its t-shirt that I wear regularly. Also (apart from the fact that we are talking about the very early Darkthrone, still inexperienced and dedicated to death metal), I’m not bored by it at all; on the contrary, I consider it a true classic. In fact, I will be reviewing it soon. It makes no sense to talk about repetitiveness (the growls are fundamental in death and, talking about a band that was active when the coordinates of the genre were still being defined, it seems to me that it all adds up). Moreover, if we compare it to many contemporary works (raw death metal with bad production), "Soulside Journey" is a gem... It is filled with several melodic and atmospheric twists, in short, I really don’t see the flatness you talk about. Anyway, never has a nice De GUSTIBUS been more mandatory than in this case... In any case, those were not yet the true Darkthrone...

Anyway, I never compared them to Unsane... I just mentioned that in some parts, like in the fourth song, they might come to mind... After all, Unsane and Darkthrone have nothing to do with each other stylistically and play two genres that are worlds apart. The only thing they have in common is the underground attitude, but that's a whole different story...

"WORTHLESS" DARKTHRONE???? Sorry, but are you feeling alright? I mean, you're talking about a historic band that laid the foundations for an entire musical scene... I can understand if you don't like them, but saying they're "worthless" is nothing short of absurd...
Team Sleep Untitled (Demo)

To be honest, it seems to me that only "King Diamond" is included in the official album... In any case, the most beautiful songs are missing, like "Natalie Portman" and "Boulevard Mights" (the two I included in the samples) are not there...

I downloaded it from DC++ and someone had it in a folder labeled "untitled." In fact, the demo is untitled, but you might also find it under the same name as the group "Team Sleep" (this is the name of their first official album, but since this was "it" that was supposed to become their first official album, you could find both albums with the same title). Anyway, if you can’t find it, there’s a universal method: just search directly for the songs from the album (they're listed here on the right if you click on CD1) and download them one by one...
Cripple Bastards Desperately Insensitive

Well, if I wanted to vent, I would have blasted some extreme black like Marduk or Enthroned, which on these occasions fills me with a pleasant sense of wickedness that helps me calm down... I prefer to listen to grind when I'm happy. Another similar band to mention: Bastard Saints.

I still don't understand why the anonymous person is targeting Kosmogabri...

Nice discussion...

Anyway, CAZ says that only because he's jealous.

As I already mentioned in my review, "Jane Doe" is a magnificent album. In any case, I prefer "Petitioning...". Perhaps because it is more accessible. In any case, songs like "Concubine" or "The Broken View" (pure poetry) are expressions of modern genius in the hardcore scene.
