Undoubtedly one of the most beautiful games I have ever played. Even to a lesser extent, it contributes to fueling the heated debate about whether a game can be art or not, as has been the case after two video game masterpieces called ICO and Shadow Of The Colossus...

Hi Hell, actually I listened to it halfway, or rather not even! I haven’t had the time to really sit down and absorb it seriously (try to understand, I've been in Erasmus for less than two months...), I haven't even listened to all the songs. However, my initial judgment is this: it’s a great album (the riffs of Downfall Of The Epoch drive me crazy) but definitely inferior to the previous albums. They've changed a bit. Sometimes they stretch things out too much. It seems to me they’ve taken a decidedly less epic and more “calm” direction, if we can say that. I repeat, I still need to listen to it seriously in full. Maybe I’m really getting it wrong for now, so I'll postpone my final judgment. Anyway, you said it well, I’m an admirer of Drudkh: this means that, in the end, even their fart is pure gold for me XD

Uhu, you are DEFINITELY too restrictive, just like many others. What does it matter if it’s copied? Junk?! There are amazing bands, and many that I didn’t know about I’m discovering now. Of course, they take influences from the more popular bands (I would add Pelican, Cult Of Luna, Red Sparowes, Knut, etc., to the ones you mentioned), but that doesn’t mean they aren’t capable of writing fantastic albums. And come on, only 3 bands?! There are thousands of bands in the world that play post-core (and most of them we don’t even know), and it certainly doesn’t seem to me that they all suck... :-O

@UHU The previous album is more devastating, it's true, it's much less airy and more claustrophobic, it gives you goosebumps but it's also much more academic. This one, on the other hand, is pure innovation. They've included beautiful melodies that were barely imaginable in the previous album. It depends, if someone is looking for "strong sensations" more than the musical aspect, they might prefer this one.

@ALE Honestly, I find Evoken a bit dull in the long run; it's fine to be slow and monolithic, but... Ahab, on the other hand, are among the most accessible funeral doom bands, more "interesting" (in the sense that when you listen to them, they don't bore you and they change rhythms and melodies) while still maintaining an enviable heaviness... With all due respect for Evoken (great band), but having to choose, for my tastes, I would choose Ahab for life.

Incredible what I discovered... Their guitarist Karl Demata is the brother of my English professor at the University of Bari, who was my thesis supervisor... And then they say life is full of surprises... Unbelievable!

Ahem... Partial review, I agree on Dead Can Dance and Electric Wizard (let’s say we’re almost at the levels of tantric sex, let’s not exaggerate, okay?) and Portishead, but why the boring Mogwai? We’re already falling into bias. And I love "archaic-flavored ballads" and the "atmospheric" album, damn do I love them... Not all tracks are great, so a 5 doesn’t fit, but damn some pieces...

FANTASTIC review. What am I saying, fantastic... GENIUS! "The first metal album for little kids" is the perfect definition! And, on top of that definition, just because you remembered to mention poor Miescko Talarczy (it’s not spelled like that, but it doesn’t matter), may he rest in peace, absolute genius of grindcore, you deserve my 5! I haven't listened to the album but I know them (unfortunately), and I imagine they're a horrible clone of Bullet For My Valentine and Avenged Sevenfold (I won't mention At The Gates, as you did, because it seems like a blasphemy), one of those bands that fill the EMP lists with their fake-gothic-emo-little-kid shirts.

Ahahahahah Bartleboom, I have the Viva Emptiness t-shirt and when my friends ask me what’s represented on it, I always say “a little girl (who is actually the daughter of the illustrator Travis) holding a dead swan and an angel thrown in the trash”! Ahahahahah back to the Deftones, what a great album, not among the best they’ve made, but still nice. I hope to hear Eros soon, at least as much as I hope Chi recovers quickly and that everything goes well...
Radiohead OK Computer

It's contradictory to say that this album is "useless pop" and then describe it as the best representative album of the twenty-first century. I enjoyed the review, but you acted a bit like Pontius Pilate by not giving a score when from your words it’s clear that you appreciate (and not a little) the album in question. Want to know my opinion? I hate Radiohead as people, I love them as artists. I believe they are geniuses. Maybe Ok Computer isn't one of the best albums ever created, but it is undoubtedly one of the best of the '90s regarding their genre. And it’s an IMPORTANT album. This is undeniable. If you find them boring, it simply isn't the type of music for you. But please, if that's the case, refrain from judging them.
