What a drag, there are billions of reviews of this blessed CD... Anyway, for me, it remains the best of Slipknot. I don't really like the review, your argument may hold some truth in "Iowa" when the little Balzacs were already known and resting on their laurels, but this album contributed to the positive spread of a good combination of nu metal and extreme metal; the purists, of course, continue to go on about Blood Red Throne, and nobody bothers anyone... The usual collection of clichés. And also, sorry, but the comparison with Mudvayne makes me think that maybe you don't have a clear understanding of what you're saying... Mudvayne clones who couldn't be more clonish, they are to Slipknot what the Pretty Things are to the Rolling Stones (but much worse, indeed).

Anyway, puntinicaz, I would ask you not to generalize the discussion... well, I’m excluded because I don’t really like power metal and I’m not particularly fascinated (a bit, but not much) by dragons and such things. But as a metalhead, I remind you that not everyone is like you describe; many are, but in general there is no stereotype of a metalhead! I don’t identify with any stereotype, yet it’s clear that I’m a metalhead! (Anyway, damn, remember that you make me laugh as usual, and you have all my respect and affection!! :-))
