The keyboardist of The Death Of Anna Karina made a distinction between emo metal and screamo (emo-violence)... With these fucking terms, I can't make heads or tails of it anymore...

X amen: I'm sorry, but you're shaking my convictions!!! Are you telling me that the music of bands like the ones I mentioned isn't screamo? Then what is it? I don't know, maybe I'm the one confused, yet I've always understood it this way... La Quiete seems anything but screamo to me (if we have the same conception of what screamo is!). I still want to hold onto my opinion, but if you want to explain yours to me about it, because you've confused me a bit, I would like to understand...

Well, to be honest, it seemed so obvious to me that I didn't even think it could offend anyone... You should reflect on this too, dear zai... there are so many people who offend Lecciso for no reason (and in a far worse way) that my stupid comment certainly won't make a difference. And I don’t think she cares at all. Let’s say my comment was meant to be a funny way to kick off the reviews, but I can’t help it if some people don’t have a sense of humor... Go read Punisher's review on Lecciso if you want to find someone who really insults her.

A band that has truly succeeded in merging the gothic and death metal elements into an exciting blend. I preferred their previous album "Devoid," but this is still a great record. Nice review, maybe a bit naïve, but I like it.

I want to emphasize that the concept of post-hardcore now largely also includes emo-violence depending on the style a band adopts when playing. Then it’s all about perspectives… For example, excuse my ignorance, but I have always associated emo-violence with screamo, that is, the combination of new school hardcore and emocore (18 Visions, From Autumn To Ashes, Remembering Never, and tons of other bands…) In this sense, a band like The Death Of Anna Karina, for instance, doesn't fit into emo-violence at all… It then depends on what you mean when you refer to this genre.

I’m glad you fully grasped the meaning of my message! You just have to realize that genres have always influenced each other and evolved... blues comes from classical just as punk comes from blues just as black metal comes from punk and so on... Music is like philosophy: there will always be someone with something new to say, and there will always be someone who will repeat the same thing reheated in a different way. It’s just the cycle of life...
