Nick, have you ever heard this album? I'm curious to know... I also find Camel's albums pretty awful, but this one is in a league of its own... if you haven't listened to it yet, free yourself from prejudices and give it a try...

Syd Barrett Barrett

syd is up there among the unruly geniuses, the first Floyd album is his doing and none of his albums are alike. Just imagine that already in this one, but especially in The Madcap Laughs, many versions of the songs are the first studio recordings because he played like that back then... a song could even change while they were recording in the studio...
Porcupine Tree Deadwing

Great Socrates, you tricked me… Porcupine Tree are amazing… all their albums including the first one, On the Sunday of Life, written and performed entirely by Wilson under this name. Radioactive Toy… Waiting… the album Stupid Dream, the collection of outtakes/unreleased Recordings are often on the turntable… saw them on April 24 at Transilvania… unfortunately, the concert was super crowded (but they played like gods), and a can of warm Bavaria beer (thank goodness the trip to Milan was very psychedelic!) for 4 euros… live they are nothing short of spectacular, anyway there have been times when I was truly absorbed like never before… I can’t quite digest this last one…
