It doesn't make them absolute phenomena, rather... but I really like their attitude... I mean, I've tuned into the sax drowned in their music... well, Don Caballero are from another category altogether... the first two albums are breathtaking, period. I even reviewed the second one not long ago... but these guys seem to be on the right path (I mean really right, you know!) without, as far as I'm concerned, reaching the depth, style, and research (as you say) that is present in Don Caballero or other bands. But in the metal sphere (where I emphasize I'm a first-class ignoramus), these guys "move" me, so to speak; they have that depth, etc., etc., that I find lacking in thousands of metal or related bands that have been popping up like factory-made products in recent years.

Well, I saw the Pelican live a few days ago and... well... nothing to say... but I really like them, especially the direct recording amazes me (damn, the album is quite intricate...)... I don't know the Ephel Duath... still emphasizing de gustibus, if they only deserve a passing grade in metal we're in pretty bad shape, don't you think? As for me, I'm listening to "For Respect" by Don Caballero, and well, they’re worth the same thing you say about Pelican… damn, Don Caballero is a monumental band.

I don’t doubt that it’s not an easy thing to implement, indeed from a purely formal point of view the choice of the editors is correct in my opinion, that is to publish them all, but we were discussing for a better world... then of course I speak as a pure admirer of this site which I can now navigate well... but this flood of reviews annoys me, that’s all.

Come on, you can't deny that lately there have been thousands of reviews that just don't meet the standards, right? Including mine, huh... I'm not trying to be arrogant...))

nickghost we should set a daily limit......by now even the good reviews are getting "drowned".....just to mention one, mine about morphine (even though it wasn't that great, actually!) when I entered the site (I don't remember how many days later) after reading the email it was already out of the 40.....there are so many truly stunning ones that went unnoticed.
