Isis In The Absent Of Truth
Voto:
simply a wonderful album. I don't agree that it's a transitional album nor with some of the things mentioned in the posts. Like that oceanic is their best. Panopticon is unattainable for me. Always a matter of taste, obviously. In the absence of truth is CLAMOROUSLY beautiful but not as much as panopticon. It’s also more difficult to enjoy, but once you're "inside" these melodies, you can't get out. A great record, ultimately, for my modest ears.
Cult Of Luna The Beyond
Voto:
Great review... Cult of Luna is a band I've always loved, even though their last album "Somewhere Along the Highway" is superior to my ears compared to this one...
Wolf Eyes Human Animal
Voto:
strange (and very beautiful) review for a record that I imagine as strange (but I also imagine not too listenable for my tender ears...)
Colour Haze Tempel
Voto:
Having gotten the heads up about the new Colour Haze release, I downloaded it and listened to it fairly extensively, and I also don’t quite agree with the rating (at least a 4, come on…). While I believe that the previous albums (both the self-titled one and the earlier *Los Sounds de Krauts*) were first and foremost a different musical material and second, more inspired, I totally agree with Psycho that our boys do not follow any trends and almost take pride in being retrograde.

Great review Donjunio, although I've never been able to digest the xiu xiu.
Caravan In The Land Of Grey And Pink
Voto:
a dazzling record....and for my very personal tastes, much superior to close to the edge and much inferior to third.
Karma To Burn Wild Wonderful Purgatory
Voto:
If you don’t know Karma to Burn, you don’t understand shit about rock, it’s exaggerated don’t you think? I say it myself, as I consider the aforementioned to be truly an extraordinary band... Sephirot has indeed forgotten about Tool, but not Mastodon (there’s no way he could forget them...) read the post carefully again... :-)
Rage Against The Machine Rage Against The Machine
Voto:
and it doesn't make it ugly even the intellectual dishonesty....that's all! The album remains magnificent...at least for me....
