really great psycho proposal. just like that, I fell in love with it. I have the original espers II, which I cherish. I've loved it since 2006, never once thinking over the months and years "well maybe it's not as good as it seemed at first." it's love. there are choirs that tug at your heart, instrumental openings that bring night even at noon. it's the songs of people who seem to want to tell stories of ancestral folk experiences that have become legends over time. incredible group, even though I only know one album. what's the first album like?

It may be, but I prefer the Autechre of the 2000s. I think their 90s stuff hasn't aged very well. Haven't you been influenced by the press?

welcome back zion. how could you say the latest releases are pretentious? there’s a review of yours that praises Untilted, and now you tell me this? why would that be? for me, the latest works are the best (even though I don’t know Quaristice, have you listened to it?)

It seems to me that all those who praise them have not heard their first fantastic album. On the contrary, those who have known them since their debut are much more moderate with their enthusiasm.

It's a shame you gave up, psycho, because the last track of "Free Gold" by Indian Jewelry is truly trippy. I remember your talk about white wine during the review of "Naked Acid" by Valet. Well, we're around that vibe. The track is called "Seventheaven" (the title says it all) and it's pure bliss, pissipissi. But where the hell did caz go, who was the sultan of these discussions?

thank you trell. another thing that rocks: indian jewelry. really great. the new heirs of spacemen 3 (with certain accents, but just a few, like jackie-o-motherfucker).

Finally psycho!!! I liked the album. For me, the wine has aged without changing its tones, that is, excellent tones. Less spiritual and dark than in "furrowed brow," here it's more direct even if more acidic. My favorite is "bell jars," where I fully agree with the "atmosphere of imminent danger" that you highlighted. I also prefer six organs, for their more rooted foundations in American roots. Speaking of your dialogue between you and Trell, what do you think of Howlin' Rain (a branch of Comets on Fire)? I'm very curious to hear the new Matt Elliott, towards whom I have an immense love (having seen him live, I literally cried. He even did a cover of Coil's "Tattooed Man," which further moved me and that only I obviously knew). Lately, I've been getting into skewed folk: Volcano the Bear (highly recommended), Spires That in the Sunset Rise, and Peesseye.

Thank you, psycho. For me, "No hits" from the first album was an absolute masterpiece. I still haven't found any kind of music on Earth that resembles this piece (and believe me, I listen to a lot of stuff). It's truly incredible, mind-blowing.

my question about this album (which leaves me hanging between buying it and forgetting it) has been the same for almost a year now: how does it compare to the first album, which I really liked?
