Aufgehoben Khora
Voto:
huge group. the most violent music I know, no exaggeration. there's no escape. I even recommended them to Brian Chippendale from Lightning Bolt (he couldn't understand the band's name, so I wrote it on the drum). notes in the booklet "Aufgehoben as usual don't answer to any failure of your hardwares." let yourself be overwhelmed by this tank.
Current 93 Inerrant Rays of Infallible Sun (Blackship Shrinebuilder)

hello Memento. I only know the well-known Current 93 albums. I had the chance to buy Dogs Blood Rising but 30 euros seemed like an exaggeration to me. In March 2009, their new album is coming out!!! If it's on the level of Black Ships Eat The Sky, I’ll be licking my lips.
Comets on Fire / Howlin Rain 5 Questions to Ethan Miller
Voto:
From the way he talks about Comets on Fire, it seems that his adventure with them is over...

neu2 I am with you. Beyond the fluff, this is little more than supermarket music in my opinion. And there are still those who dispense rhetorical atrocities like Girasole in comment 26: "you don't live music"... please. I was 12 in '91 and even then, this stuff was (pretty) crappy to me. Two years later, Pearl Jam and Oasis exploded, and they were (very) crappy to me instead. It's not about being anti-commercial because I've always liked Nirvana. Today I am 29 and I still hold the same opinion. So, please, let everyone express their own judgment. My opinion (MY OPINION) is that certain bands drive crazy only those who don't have a much broader perspective on music. This statement obviously applies to me as well, since, for example, I don't know much about the Kora players from Mali, so I still can't appreciate the beauty of their music. Probably some of you (who insult) don't even know what neu!2 refers to. After all, it's pointless to talk about Socratic philosophy with a rugby player...
Klaus Schulze Dune
Voto:
I really don’t understand Schulze. I have Irrlicht and honestly, I find it boring. It might have been avant-garde at the time, but listened to now, what’s the point? Maybe just to know the history, but nothing more. And this comes from someone who goes crazy for Can, Neu!, Faust, Amon Duul II, Popol Vuh, and Cluster. These are the ones that, even today, still have that extra groove.

But is the southern Lord version really that much worse than the Jap one? Does the sound change that much?
Volcano The Bear Amidst The Noise And Twigs

great proposal. I took the original (fantastic packaging), I fell in love with it immediately. The resemblance to the Residents is very true; I would also add the more current spires that in the Sunset Rise, although the latter are more wave. the last march, The Three Twins, is chilling: I was half-asleep when I heard it for the first time. as soon as the baby’s crying came in, my eyes went wide. I had never felt such great unease while listening to music. the fact is that these (even more than the Residents) are really ambiguous: you don’t know if they are being ironic or serious, or, worse, they do both depending on the “song.” absolutely amazing. I will definitely check out their earlier work as well.
Pearl Jam Unplugged
Voto:
the most overrated band in the world after Oasis. not to mention Eddie Vedder's incredibly annoying voice
Espers The Weed Tree
Voto:
excuse my grammar mistakes due to the speed. oh by the way, there’s a collaboration album between Erika Espvall (I think that’s how you spell it) and the guy from Ghost (the band that you psycho will know in detail, given their psychedelic coordinates and their Japanese origin). It was released by Drag City about a month ago. In an interview with Erika, she says that the future of the Espers is uncertain because each member has their own projects that take up too much time. sigh
