beautiful album. surrealism and drowsiness. I don’t understand what the discreet charm of the bourgeoisie has to do with it (a very difficult film, unlike this album, which might appeal to only a few, but if it does, it captivates right from the start). I also struggle to connect it with Brokeback Mountain, a film as beautiful as it is hyper-realistic, in contrast to the Wonderland world tinted with aurora borealis, evoked by this album. 1969 is pure panic, pure psychedelia. as I mentioned in the other review, for me Boards of Canada are futuristic psychedelia. The Campfire Headphase has its ups and downs, especially down in the tracks with the little guitars, which remind me a lot of Café del Mar.
