Subsonica L'Eclissi

@ hattori hanzo: it’s obvious that I don’t know all genres, but I definitely know more than you, considering you say that Linkin Park and Subsonica are different. Someone enlightened once said: the proof of ignorance is not knowing that you are ignorant. I know I’m ignorant, I know how little I know about music, because I recognize the genres I don’t know. You, on the other hand, don’t know them because you think that music ends there. Do you get what I mean? No offense, okay?

@ anzo: you see, you haven't understood my point: I'm referring precisely to people like you, who believe that Subsonica and Linkin Park are two different things. Do you know why you think that? Because you only know that genre, that SINGLE facet, meaning 0.01% of world music. There are genres whose existence you are unaware of. I'm not talking about bands, but entire genres.
@ sylvian1982: surely your second CD was mine, so give me back my "hex: or printing on the infernal method" by Earth :)

Good job, damn it. The music market is going downhill thanks to downloads. We are the only ones who, thanks to our passion, are willing to pay. So we are no longer just simple customers who HAVE to buy the product. We CHOOSE to buy it. Therefore, shopkeepers should build a monument to us and our sweet, tender, passionate, and aware stupidity. If the CD doesn’t work and they won’t exchange it, that’s not just being jerks, but also idiots, because they’re shooting themselves in the foot. Imagine that I bought a CD at my store. As soon as I got outside, I opened it and noticed that the package strangely didn't have the CD in it. I went back inside and they exchanged it for me on the spot. They could have easily doubted that I had pocketed it, since it's a very strange occurrence for the CD to be missing, but they changed it without batting an eye. That's how it's done. The customer comes first, especially in a market like this, which is collapsing.

I buy 10 or 15 CDs, but PER MONTH. I'm a nerd, I realize that.

If you consider yourself a "faithful" listener because you buy 4 or 5 CDs a year, you're doing well. Only those who don’t listen much might find a CD like that appealing. You see, the fact is that people, unfortunately, not knowing music in all its facets, believe this is hard and pure music, the anti-commercial one. Those who say: I listen to EVERYTHING, from Linkin Park to Subsonica. Come on... they are exactly the same thing. Ah, one clarification... if they hadn’t accepted back the aforementioned CD after confirming that it doesn’t work, I would have called the army.
Sigur Rós Hvarf/Heim

Look, everyone in every store in Italy (including mine) released it on Friday, November 2nd. So before you erect a platinum statue for your retailer, ask yourself if the information they provide is accurate. A record that exploits the "coolness" of Sigur Rós. They really have little to say anymore.
Animal Collective Strawberry Jam

Yeah, not bad, but in my opinion, the worst of Animal Collective, precisely because it’s so song-oriented. They seem to be less genuinely playful and more artificially so, meaning "we need to keep the flag of playful folk high, but attract new followers through harmless pop; only then can we be personal and commercial at the same time." It sounds more like calculated music to me, no longer consumed by LSD and nothing else like before. In short, Sung Tongs to Spirits They've Gone, Spirits They've Vanished were something else.
Einstürzende Neubauten Alles Wieder Offen

not yet listened to well, but it seems very, very calm to me, almost like songwriting. an update of perpetuum mobile in short, even though the latter seemed more heterogeneous to me. I consider perpetuum mobile the best album by neubauten since the 90s, closely followed by tabula rasa.

great babaz!!! I thought there would be a drop from the fiery furnaces this time. I thought, "given the extraordinarily high levels of the first 3 albums (especially blueberry boat and bitter tea), are they going to make just an average album this time?". Instead, nothing, they can't help but make an album that is less than beautiful. rock opera, at times hard rock! I also recommend the new one from old time relijun. really not bad at all!

I bought it a few weeks ago, but I still haven't listened to it properly. The freaky suites seem fantastic to me, a bit less so the short songs, too many songs. And then these bands with the coolness surrounding them... they kind of make me lose default points. Anyway, oh, I've never bought so many CDs as I have recently: Fiery Furnaces, Akron Family, Einstürzende Neubauten, Dirty Projectors, Old Time Relijun. And then I have no money to eat. But I feed on emotions anyway. Josi, Saturday night here in Verona the Wolf Eyes are playing live. We will all die, especially our eardrums.
