Douglas Adams Guida Galattica Per Gli Autostoppisti

I really enjoyed the movie; just imagine if I read the book... it's a humor that's too subtle to be understood by everyone. Italians are much more accustomed to "belly laughs" about sex. In fact, I still wonder how a brilliant series like "The Simpsons" could have been successful in Italy. In my opinion, it was simply a trend. 90% of the people watching The Simpsons don’t grasp the depth of some jokes. Otherwise, they would appreciate "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" as well.

If I had listened to it 7-8 years ago, it would have made me shout miracle. Now, though... well. There are already those doing this stuff, I'm referring to Mouse on Mars during the "Niun Niggung" and "Idiology" periods and certain works by Cornelius. And then the tracks are hard to distinguish.

this site has now become bar chatter, this page proves it. Debaser is the natural consequence of free downloads: "everyone can listen to a minute of a thousand albums they want" becomes "everyone can talk about music on a highly visible site." this is not democracy, this is its abuse, much like the abuse of democracy when people who know nothing about politics go to vote, their vote worth as much as that of an informed person. I miss the times when this site was a roundtable for discussion and recommendations of unknown albums, discoveries of genres, and sharing of passions. now anyone can talk. everyone has their fifteen minutes of fame to burn on stage, even if it just means playing their ringtone for a quarter of an hour.

I just saw it now. I expected it to be psycho. I went in blind and honestly, it disappointed me a bit: the second track is gorgeous, with that bass line, the ballads are stunning, but I’m less impressed when they get a bit noisy like Fugazi (I’ve always hated Fugazi) and with those worn-out stoner riffs. But I need to listen to it better. The overview on wild downloading is excellent. Nowadays, we listen to everything, but superficially. The time we have available remains constant, even though they are multiplying the albums we listen to.

an outstanding review, truly immense, that exudes love from every angle. only a lover of the Eels could write such a tender review.

Ah ah, I remember that at 15 I used to steal hardcore compilations from the supermarket, like 100% party hardcore, where the bpm ranged from 180 to 220. Pure garbage! Stuff like Search&Destroy. If you listened to Rexanthony after that, it felt like new age music by comparison.
Nick Drake Pink Moon

perhaps the most beautiful voice in rock music, so anti-epic, so angelic, so monotonous, so intimate, so melancholic. just a simple note sung by Nick Drake is enough to transport thoughts to another place, where the inner struggle between rationality and emotion will never end.

One of the (greatest) bands of the 2000s that makes excessive use of Farfisa is Electrelane, who, after that super-mega-masterpiece "Axes" (for me one of the 10 best albums of this decade), disbanded :-(

I was referring to the latest LP, namely "Aleph At Hallucinatory Mountain," which is set to be released in mid-May 2009 (8 tracks, 52 minutes in length). Information regarding it can be found on the Durtro website: www.durtro.com

What do you think of the new Current 93 album "Aleph at hallucinatory mountain"? You’re still my idol. You’re the Paolo Bertoni of Debaser.
