How nice to see ourselves on the homepage 5 years after that review... how much time has passed, how many emotions. It really feels like prehistory. Thank you for this moment of happy melancholy.
Les Claypool Of Fungi and Foe

the best album by Claypool + various since Pork Soda. after becoming a legend with Primus, now Les is almost inventing a new genre, darker and "Residents-like." it's utterly mind-blowing.

Ugly Panda, your vision of Tibet is excellent, which enhances Anesthesia. I sense some Espers in the first track, while in the ballads I feel slight similarities with Dave Eugene Edwards and his current Woovenhand (the less electric ones). The atmosphere is reminiscent of McCarthy's novels, especially "The Road."

Psycho, I suggest you give Blow Up another try. Dal Soler always offers gems that you would really like. Sometimes you seem like the same person with the tastes that come through from both of you.

voodoomiles, this record has nothing to do with Supersilent, who are much more avant-garde (in some cases they even remind me of the lunar Coil). They are amazing nonetheless, but completely different. "Luminous Night" is psychedelia, it is ancestral music that comes from within the human being who asks "the whys of life." Supersilent is inhuman music, made by aliens who don't even know what it means to be human. Sorry, now I'll stop tripping out :-)

the review I was waiting for from the man I was waiting for, as usual. and so, applause, as usual. fantastic album, as usual (referring to Six Organs). indeed, I believe this is his most apocalyptic folk album, less experimental and (therefore) more "timeless." so many ballads, all beautiful, all beautiful. that wonder called "River of Heaven," which resembles a more melodic and self-accepted "River of Transfiguration" ("Transfiguration" is the quest for peace, "Heaven" the attainment - this in terms of music, not title, which is not the subject of such an analysis). and after 7 pieces of harmony, of peace, comes what you least expect: the darkest torment that Chasny could conceive: "Enemies before the light." shall we talk about when the electric guitar enters, with that sound that sends shivers down my spine every time? 5 full

But is it true that it is very similar to "Bad Timing"?

Madonna's record, for the immense space that appears between the 2 columns it's made of: the voice and the percussions, in the middle, nothingness. I prefer this to Metal Box - Second Issue, which I find too annoying because of that "buzzing" guitar (a-la Cabaret Voltaire) and too long. Fantastic review ("condemned to life to life").

I have some trouble digesting hardcore, even the more "avant-garde" stuff like Fugazi (I'm referring to Red Medicine).
