I saw them live a couple of years ago, when they still weren't wearing "designer robes," and I have to say it was an incredible experience, these 25 crazy people with a dizzying, possessed, and fanatical look, running and jumping and involving you with their "joie de vivre"... but, but... the songs are more of a backdrop than the main attraction in this experience of collective hallucination. The fact that it turns out Tim De Laughter is, underneath it all, a tyrant who doesn't appreciate anyone wanting to be a main character outside of him, and who is systematically pushed away from the "group (or cult as Socrates rightly calls it)," also scares me a bit and makes me think that once again we are witnessing another "trick" of the music industry (not coincidentally, they were signed by a British label, and it's known that in England lately, they're in a pretty bad place when it comes to music). Anyway, it's Monday and I have a headache...
