The only thing that bothers me is that nobody gives a damn about you, dear moonchi. The issue isn't with the content of the reviews (which is truly remarkable in this case) but the fact that you choose records to review that nobody here pays attention to.

To be precise, in order to complete the REM discography, in addition to RECKONING, DEAD LETTER OFFICE (a collection of b-sides) and EPONYMOUS (the best of the 80s) are missing, but I believe that I will personally limit myself to reviewing RECKONING and then I will leave the REM alone until the live performance in Imola in June.

A perfect review, but the track "Strange" is not by REM; it’s a cover of Wire, and the annoying voice you describe is not Stipe's but Mills'. The song is actually sung by Mills. My compliments for the rest, precise and detailed. Well done.

Denser and more mature than the debut. More rock, tougher, but not any less thrilling. The opening of Next Exit is spine-chilling. Splendid.

Great record, if it weren't for the existence of Radiohead, we would certainly be talking about a new rock phenomenon.

In response to Nick and Janis, I can only agree with the judgment regarding Chemical Underground. Have you ever listened to Aereogramme? I think they are extraordinary and are indeed produced by Chemical.

Fuck the metal.
I want to read your novel in advance, dear moonchild!
I see that thousands of people have commented on this fantastic review of this band that I have to endure every damn weekend in your car.

Such a beautiful review, very poetic; too bad it hardly talks about the REM album, my dear. I love REM, and that’s why I’m the first to criticize them. I liked REM when they took risks, revolutionizing their genre with each album—just think of the evolution from Out of Time to Automatic, from Automatic to Monster, and so on. This AROUND THE SUN doesn’t revolutionize anything; it’s just a confirmation of a band that knows how to write wonderful songs and give unique emotions to those who listen.
