The other person who reviewed this album is an idiot. You’re not. You understand… In my opinion, "pierrot the clown" is a magnificent track.

It's really a shame that this album went unnoticed. The first three tracks are absolute masterpieces of Italian rock. A great album.

200,000 idiotic Italians gathering to watch someone who now sings nothing but trash and is just a shadow of what he once was. 400,000 euros for the Punto advertisement, 400,000 euros for Vodafone. Let's say that at his concerts, the only one who isn't an idiot is him.
Maybe that's why they made him a doctor.

I only have the latest album and "gods and monsters" is absolutely a wonderful album, filled with class and emotions, one of the albums of 2005. I haven't managed to get the previous ones yet, darn it.
Okkervil River Black Sheep Boy

This album has been sitting on my bedside table for a month without me ever listening to it, as not long ago I got "down the river of golden dreams" and now I just can't get enough of it. Magnificent, especially track 5 (the war criminal rises and speaks) – absolutely moving. I adore KID DAKOTA, and in fact their latest album "the west is the future" (an exceptional album) features the same dark and gothic artwork as "black sheep boy."

I fully agree with your thoughts except for the last two songs. In my opinion, "il nulla" is one of the most captivating tracks on the album, and "cuore di tenebra" adds a touch of sweetness towards the end. Long live Baustelle!

Let's say this album is the least successful of the three. Can you compare the sensual rock of "IL SUSSIDIARIO ILLUSTRATO..." or the elegance and class of "LA MODA DEL LENTO"? This is a record that is clearly above average, but I would have expected something more from them; probably the switch to a major label has intimidated them, and the loss of historical elements, like the keyboardist Massara Fabrizio, has also somewhat affected the outcome of the album. Great review anyway, very thorough.
